Students of this institution study the same syllabi and are subject to the same regulations as that of the regular students of Andhra University. The Degree awarded is also the same. The learning package comprises of self-learning study material, audio-video packages and face-to-face interaction.

Admission Procedure

Admissions are usually undertaken during June – August of the particular year. The candidate may obtain the application form from any of the information centers by paying an amount of Rs300/- , they may also download it from the official website of the university, however the candidate will need to send a DD of Rs300/-along with the application. The candidate may also request the application form by post by sending a Demand draft of Rs350/- in favor of the “The director, School of distance education, Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam-3”

The candidate must properly fill in the application form, and send the application along with the proper enclosures including the educational certificates, Caste certificate (if applicable), migration certificate, etc. The application forms must be sent to the university for processing, and the candidate will be offered a provisional admission after verifying his qualification in the ICET (Integrated Common Entrance Test for MBA and MCA) or the entrance exam held by Andhra University. The student is finally offered admission after verification of all his documents, and is required to pay the fee of the course, as prescribed for the first year.

Fee Structure

For the MBA course at Andhra University the institute requires that the student pay an amount of Rs15, 000/– in the first year, Rs10, 000/– in the second year, and Rs5, 000/– in the final year of the course. For the Executive MBA course, the student needs to pay Rs20, 000/– in the first year, and Rs10, 000/– in the second year. It must be noted that the university accepts payment only though Crossed Demand Drafts, payable through any bank at Vishakhapatnam, in favor of the “Director, The School of Distance Education, Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam-3”.

Eligibility Criteria

For eligibility into the MBA course, the university requires that the student be a graduate from any of the recognized universities (except BFA and BA OL) with a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC Categories). The candidate must have studied mathematics as one of the subjects in the high school, and also must qualify the ICET (Integrated Common Entrance Test for MBA/MCA) or the entrance exam held by Andhra University.

For admission into the Executive MBA course the applicant must, in addition to the a aforementioned criteria should also have a work experience of a minimum of two years.
