This group together formed an alliance with the government at the center and the state, local authorities, the Ford foundation and the Harvard business School, to establish the foundation of the Institute. The institution is managed by IIMA society, formed under the Societies Act. IIMA was the first management school in the country to be awarded European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).
IIMA believes in performing in high standards by connecting and reaching out with the corporates, researchers, local community.
