Admission to Kerala University is determined by entrance exams and merit. The majority of undergraduate course admissions are made via the Centralized Allotment Process. The university has a PG Entrance Exam for PG programs. Merit from the entrance exam and a university interview are used to determine admission to postgraduate programs.

GATE results or an entrance exam administered by the university, followed by an interview, will be used to determine admission to the M.Tech program.
