MBA in Event Management is a program designed to use the management skills to plan, improve, establish and promote events. Students will be imparted with skills to deal with numerous types of events such as corporate events, wedding parties, business promotions, sports events, exhibitions, concerts, family functions, etc. This specialization has become much popular these days as it imparts with the knowledge and skills to students to plan, organize and promote such events. It is a two years course that are divided into two or three semesters/terms per annum. MBA in Event Management can also be studied through distance mode of learning. The minimum duration of course completion is two years and maximum duration is four years. Executive MBA for this specialized program can also be availed by the working professionals.
Candidates applying for MBA in Event Management are required to complete a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline with minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university. Candidates should also qualify any nationalized entrance examination such as CAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT/SNAP/XAT, etc. depending on the requirements of the institute.
The fees ranges from 2,00,000 INR to 5,00,000 INR depending on the institutes providing various facilities for its students.

Students are taught to produce the schedule of the events in best conceivable means which makes spectators comprehend the things going on in an event and what will be happening next in it. They can be hired to posts such as Assistant Manager, Safety Manager, Travel Manager, Hospitality Executive, PR Executive, Marketing Manager, Staff Manager, Event Coordinator, Celebrity Manager, Brand Management Professional, Creative Director, Consultant, Resource Purchase Manager and many more. Remuneration to the candidate mostly depends on the personal qualification, experience, along with the profitability, organizational level and other factors.
