About GATE 2025: Registration will begin today at GATE’s official website.

GATE 2025 Registration: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has today, August 28, started the online application process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or GATE 2025. Eligible candidates can apply for the test at the GATE 2025 official website.

The exam will be held on February 1, 2, 15 and 16, 2025.

Candidates with bachelor's degrees and those studying in the third year of a bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts / Humanities are eligible to apply for GATE 2025.

Candidates with certification from MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC approved professional societies which are equivalent to BE/BTech/BArch/BPlanning etc. are also eligible to appear for the test.

Candidates must submit the following documents when registering for the exam:

Photo of the candidate according to the requirements stated in the information bulletin.
Signature of the applicant according to the requirements stated in the information bulletin.
Scanned copy of Category Certificate (SC/ST) in PDF format if required.
A scanned copy of the PwD certificate in PDF if available.
A scanned copy of the Dyslexia certificate in PDF if available.
Scanned copy of valid photo ID: Aadhar-UID (preferably)/ Passport/ PAN Card/ Voter ID/ Driving Licence.
The photo ID submitted by the applicant must contain the name and date of birth and a unique identification number. On the day of the exam, they must bring the original copy of the uploaded photo ID for verification.

GATE 2025 Application Fee

During the regular period, SC, ST PwD and women candidates have to pay ₹900 as an application fee for GATE 2024. All other candidates have to pay ₹1,800.

During the extended period, PwD, SC, ST and women candidates have to pay ₹1,400 and all other candidates have to pay ₹2,300.
