The National Testing Agency has made the re-exam answer keys available earlier on June 29. Candidates have access to the provisional answer keys via exams.nta.ac.in, the NEET official website. Why was there a second NEET-UG exam? The delivery of erroneous question papers caused delays for 1563 applicants across seven centres during the May 5 NEET UG exam this year. At first, the National Testing Agency decided to give these candidates grace marks to remedy this problem. However, as a result of legal challenges brought before the Supreme Court, this ruling was later overturned. In a hearing related to the matter, the Centre informed the top court that the grace marks allotted to the affected candidates had been rescinded. Instead, these candidates will be provided with an opportunity to appear in a re-examination. Should they opt not to take the re-exam, their original scores, excluding any grace marks, will be considered final, Centre told the court. It should be noted that almost 24 lakh candidates took part in the NEET-UG, which was held by the NTA on May 5. Even though the results were announced on June 4, claims of question paper leaks in Bihar and other announces in various states quickly eclipsed the results. In the meantime, the national government has come under fire for purported anomalies in NEET-UG.On June 23, 2024, 813 out of the 1563 qualified applicants took the NEET retest. On June 29, the National Testing Agency made the re-exam answer keys available.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) re-exam 2024 results were released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday. Exams.nta.ac.in/NEET is where candidates who took the re-exam can view their results. Notably, a re-examination for up to 1563 candidates who received grace marks for the June 23, 2024 exam was conducted on June 23. Only 813 of these applicants, nonetheless, had taken the NEET retest.
