The University currently offers over ten degree and diploma programmes throughout its seven departments, including Aerospace Engineering, Applied Science, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering, to name a few. MTech and MBA, both of which are offered full-time, are two of the university’s most popular programmes.
The B.Tech. degree, which has 23 specialisations, is VTU’s flagship curriculum. Students get admitted to the B.Tech. programme based on their performance in the JEE Main/KMAT examination. VTU offers admission to candidates in UG and PG programmes based on a variety of criteria. Candidates for UG courses must pass national level entrance exams such as the KMAT, whereas candidates for PG courses such as M.Tech. and M.Arch. must pass GATE and PGCET with merit scores, respectively. Aside from that, the university holds a Research Entrance Test, depending on which candidates for Ph.D. programmes are admitted. VTU has a long history of delivering outstanding placement and internship options to its students.
